Guitarist Wanted

We are a Bass guitarist and Drummer seeking a guitarist. Our process and sound is similar to Eddy Current Suppression Ring, in that we like to jam. We have found that the best stuff comes from recording these impromptu bursts and keeping the good parts, discarding the shit, and restructuring till we get something good. We like to make it swing, influences include 90’s indie rock/punk like Pixies, Jesus Lizard, Pavement, Regurgitator (because they mix styles) & Les Savy Fav. Jarring guitar sounds like Helmet, Mark of Cain and Ministry could work well in the heavy parts. We like to use a large dynamic range (Nirvana, Pixies) and think that slower can be heavier (Alice in Chains).
There is a lot of scope to add your own sound, however keeping it simple, interesting and sparse would be preferred to any over zealous guitar wanking.
Being able to sing would be a plus. And despite our preferred process, we are open to playing anyone songs in the band, provided we all agree we should. We have gigged, and with the right person, will again. Priority is to enjoy it. We don’t care how young or old you are, but if you do, we are in our late 30s, and cool as fuck. Getting in the zone (auto-pilot) is what its all about. Feelin’ it.

I'm a singer, guitarist, songwriter looking for anyone interested in having a jam, playing, recording etc. I have a small band room at home for playing with various instruments (drums, guitars, etc) as well.
Loads of songs written (all pretty simple), just need to hook up with others to push the experimental side of things a bit.
Influences are varied but think along the lines of Will Oldham, Woven hand, Bill Callahan,
Micah P Hinson, Leonard Cohen, Eric Bachman etc.- hoping to add a bit of a Mono, Mogwai, June of 44 post-rock thing maybe or whatever happens.
Age no real issue, as long as musical direction and/or tastes are pretty similar.

I'm a guitarist wanting to meet a bass player or keyboard player that can fill in bass parts for a Big Black style 2 or 3 piece using a laptop for drums. I've written a few songs, with some bed drum tracks and keen to collaborate on a few more and get out there and gig. I'd like to jam around once a week and live in Currimundi. We could jam at mine every now and again but not loud ones all the time. Have my own gear and a bass and spare bass box if needed. I have some experience in bands and gigging but all I want from someone is enthusiasm and at least a bass head. If you prefer to sit back or you're not confident, I can teach you some riffs that will suit my style. Other influences are Melvins, Jesus Lizard, Joy Division, Helmet.
