Morning Gloree
These guys did a fantastic job considering it was their first major gig, not to mention their age! 14 to 16 age range? Wow!
They started off with some great surfer punk originals as a raw four piece - bass, 2 guitars, drums and vox. I snuck away to do some warm ups for my set which was coming up directly after them, but I kept an ear on the goings on. Some cool covers emerged, classic Hendrix and the like and then they punched out some cool songs with the addition of a female vocals. Great rock chick attitude ;)
I reckon the set was the strongest as a raw four piece, I had "Ripped off at the beach" banging around in my head the next morning whilst showering for work. Great stuff guys, keep it up, you will go places.
Idle Theory
Meaty guitar riffage, balls and chunk drums and bass, and in your face vocals made this set an awesome set of classic raw heavy metal. I watched some of their stuff on youtube before the gig to get an idea of what to expect, and the clips didn't do them justice.
These guys have a great stage presence, awesome huge sound and fantastic original songs that reminded me a bit of old school Slayer meets Limp Bizkit. Can't wait to see them again!
