Kahn, The Deckchairs, The Hayden Hack Infusion, Club Envy, March 27

First band up were local boys The Hayden Hack Infusion starting of what was to be a great night with a funky roots sound combined with reggae dance beats.

Second to play was Brisbane based quartet The Deckchairs. What stands out for me with this band is the way each member delivers a truly unique style with such confidence. This makes them a real pleasure to watch and their unique roots sound is almost impossible not to dance too.

After an impressive set from The Deckchairs and a short break the MC asked us all to gather at the stage for what was to be a really special moment. We were all invited to sit on the dance floor and take part in honouring Earth Hour. The lights went out while Khan played a beautiful acoustic song by candle light which set the mood for an incredibly warm family atmosphere.

With Johnny Collins on bass, Rob Burr on the drums supporting Khan's guitar and vocals, this trio of some of Sunny Coast's most talented musicians is not to be missed. Whether connecting to the beats of their unique bohemian dub sound by ripping it up on the dance floor, or allowing the music to flow through you standing on the side lines, the soulful song styling’s of Khan takes you on a journey.

Great crowd. Great bands. Great sound. I think good times were had by all and no it wasn’t just because of the tequila.
