Rob Stanley originally hails from Canberra and has played and recorded with many bands throughout the 90s, notable acts such as Snuf, Lilyak.
After putting the guitar to bed for nearly 10 years, the music drug has kicked in again and is pumping like it never has before. Production on his first solo album has begun and will consist of mainly instrumental pieces, but will also feature some vocals in selected tracks to provide colour and texture.
Rob's style is predominantly metal, but he is influenced by many styles of music from jazz to classical to dance and electronica. He finds inspiration for the pieces he creates from the world around him.
Rob is also an accomplished artist with many of his works being used commercially around the globe. Rob lives on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland with his beautiful friend Karen, his gorgeous slobbery great dane Murray and his autistic cat Pea.
Rob Stanley was also The Point's November Artist of the Month (2009).
