Panda! Panda! Panda! are a metal/electronic/progressive band based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.
The band has been at the frontline of South East Queensland’s music scene since its creation in 2007, sharing the stage with International act “Horse the band” after playing only three gigs!
Panda! Panda! Panda! or Pandax3 consists of 6 members: vocalist Rob, guitarists Tim and Jak, James on the drums, Nick on keys and Kane on bass guitar. Ageing between 18 and 23 years of age, the group member’s musical appreciation and skill level is well beyond their years and is noticeably recognisable in their music.
Pandax3 draws musical influence from a wide variety of artists such as: The Number 12 Looks Like You, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Between the Buried and Me, Horse the band, Dillinger Escape Plan and more. Their influences make for very interesting and complex song arrangements and a wide variety of sounds. Live, the band creates an infectious energy rarely seen on stage and highly appreciated by the regular crowds who travel to see them perform.
The band's musical prowess has been recognised through various competitions including; placing first in the medusa’s manifesto battle of the bands competition, out of approximately 100 bands from across South East Queensland; placing second in the Sunshine Coast ‘Bands on show 2008’ and recently placing second in the LOUD 09 Semi Final at the Sands Tavern. Furthermore they band has graced the stage with a number of nationally recognised bands including: Mourning Tide, Avalon Drive, Against, Wish for Wings, The Daylight Curse and loads more
