Kelsie Rimmer, an 18 year old singer/songwriter from the Sunshine Coast Queensland, has been developing her ambient, original sound for several years. Being recognised in various national songwriting competitions and talent quests from only 16 years of age, Kelsie has consistently impressed audiences with her naturally melodic voice and unique musical compositions.
Kelsie has performed for a variety of audiences, her musical displays ranging from local talent quests and singing eistedfords, to weddings and local gigs. As a top 5 finalist in the 2008 National Youth Week Songwriting competition with her original song ‘Rhythm’, Kelsie has received a great deal of acclaim for her mature songwriting ability. Predominantly a songwriter at heart, Kelsie has gradually developed her sound through teaching herself guitar, piano and a variety of other instruments.
With nothing more than a home recording set up at her dispense, Kelsie has single handedly produced over 20 original songs and is forever creating and working on new sounds. Through her beautifully crafted melodies and pleasant, distinctive tone Kelsie Rimmer hopes to entertain audiences and reach out to listeners, while staying true to her passion for music and songwriting.
